   Stones

Fossil words;
impressions paper-cast,
precious cottoned stones.

Excavated
sentimental corpses,
out of fashion -

unbelievably
beautifully
old.

Fragile-firm
wonderment!

Was their inspiration
ever really so?

At all costs,

I choose not to grasp
their meaning.
