   My Vast Ingratitude

Please forgive my vast ingratitude.
My Love - I never knew!
No cards adorned Your many gifts.
No announcements told me Who.

Discreetly You have spoiled me;
never once asked for my praise.
I won’t forget – now that I know,
to thank You all my Days.

The Days are all so beautiful -
varied, perfect and grand.
Each of them made flawlessly,
by Your loving hand.

Even my small hands are gifts,
You made them for me, too
Oh dear Lord, forgive me please -
I swear! I never knew.
